My Best Year Yet

Holy moly, I can't believe tomorrow is the 1st of February, yet at the same time I feel like January was an entire year in itself. 

2018 is going to be MY YEAR, the first of MANY (my years) that is. Auditions have been flooding in and just for that, I am grateful. Whether an audition leads to a booking or not, I tell myself I am just one audition closer to a booking. For those of you unfamiliar with how this career works...well, it ebbs and flows until you really take off. Your job as an actor IS auditioning. I look at it this way...the more auditions I'm getting, the more practice I'm getting and the more practice I'm getting, the more experienced I'm becoming (ultimately mastering my craft, though there's ALWAYS, ALWAYS room for improvement).

Here is something I've been working on: To be intentional and celebrate all things big AND small! I'm learning to celebrate all of my successes and cherish every moment in my life and career.  Because, no matter what the outcome... "Every single moment in our life is our compass to tomorrow" -ME, Kailey Snider (Pretty good, eh?) 

And today, I received news that I got a callback, yes a callback! "A callback? She's excited about a callback", you say? HECK YES I AM, because a callback is a victory in itself, people! It means, I'm doing something RIGHT!  Though I'm only a quarter of a century, I think I've got a pretty good understanding of life, which is why I want you to know that no matter what your career path or biggest dreams may be, celebrate the little victories, because they'll add up to a BIG victory one day. Like Vince Van Gogh once said, "Great things are done by a series of small things brought together" and I couldn't agree more.
